• For the calculation of the CO2e from energy use, certifications should not be considered and instead either regional or national emission data on the energy system should be used as provided by Eurostat and national databases. The aim is to get the real physical energy readings with the associated emissions from the grid.

• In case CO2 data is not available from the suppliers of the ICT equipment, an estimation model may be used that is provided by organizations such as SDIA and Boavizta.

• For the emissions stemming from operational processes (e.g. staff and travel), a fixed assumption of X CO2e per employee may be used.
