Scope

• Provider should implement a procurement policy that forces suppliers to a) disclose all pollutants generated from the manufacturing of the equipment or the production of materials b) submit a plan to reduce or erradicate them and c) commit to year in which the pollutants will be removed.

• Provider could demand independent verification and auditing done by a third-party

• Provider could demand supplier to disclose the pollution data publicly for each device or material, enabling better research

Research questions

• How can the pollutants for mechanical, electrical and building materials be measured and classified? Can we have a list of pollutants that should be avoided?

• Can we have an auditing checklist for pollutants?

• Can we have a scorecard for suppliers to report the pollutants from their operations?
