The energy efficiency must meet the latest version of ENERGY STAR® for each product type used to run the certified cloud service. Certified Providers which utilize pre-owned or refurbished IT hardware or IT hardware older than 5 years are exempted from this requirement.
Submit the following to an approved verifier initially and monthly:
• The report of all hardware used to produce the certified Resources and a copy of the test report(s) from a laboratory accredited according to ISO 17025 for each hardware configuration or an invoice proving that the equipment has been pre-owned or was purchased more than 5 years ago.
• The report from the monitoring system shows that the provider is actively monitoring the utilization and is optimizing the IT or Cloud infrastructure for a minimum average utilization of 45%.
